Common questions
What is a domain authority score?
A 0–10 score estimating how trusted your website is, based on which other sites link to it across the open web. Higher scores generally mean better chances of ranking in Google and being cited by AI engines. Our checker uses OpenPageRank, which is built from open web-graph data.
Is this the same as Moz DA or Ahrefs DR?
It is the same idea measured on different data. Moz DA (0–100) and Ahrefs DR (0–100) use their own private crawlers; OpenPageRank (0–10) uses open Common Crawl web data. The numbers differ between tools, so always compare sites within the same tool — which is exactly what this checker does.
How do I increase my authority score?
Earn links from real, relevant websites: local directories and citations, supplier and partner pages, local news coverage, guest articles, and genuinely useful content that people reference. Avoid buying bulk backlinks — spammy links can hurt more than help. Scores update roughly monthly, so expect gradual movement, not overnight jumps.
Why does my website show 'not found'?
The index covers sites discovered in open web crawls. Very new or very small sites may not be listed yet. Keep publishing content and earning a few real links, and your site will typically appear within a few months.
